Fightfayre was born on December 14, 2013. There's no deeper meaning to the name other than the fact I combined the word "fight" with "Fayre," the last name of my story's antagonist. There's a pun in there and I thought it was clever and cute. Shows what I know.

I go by Kumi! Is it my real name? Absolutely not, but let's pretend it is.
I work in adminstration at a metal fabrication company.
I'm a "filthy casual" gamer and love all genres, especially survival horror. My favorite games are The Last of Us, Bioshock 1 & 2, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy VII and the Resident Evil franchises as a whole. I have a very special place in my heart for Leon Kennedy.
A list of authors I hugely admire: Juan Rulfo, Yuri Herrera, and Julio Cortazar. Laura Van Den Berg, May Lan-Tan, Tea Obreht, and Yoko Tawada. I will stop there otherwise this list will be endless.
One of my favorite things in the world is going to concerts. Most people might think I'm escaping the world, but have you been inside a place like Webster Hall? The Trocadero? Lee's Palace? The airlessness smells like vodka and pot. A part of your body is always touching another body. When the singer yells for the crowd to wave their arms side to side, and you stand on your tip-toes with your arm outstretched that for a moment it feels only the crowd can lift you up. That sense of communion with other people is the most pleasurable feeling.
